Thank you for the beautiful wind chimes. The sound in the breeze is a wonderful remembrance of my mother. It was nice to see many of you at the visitation and to see all the names signed in the card. Thank you so much for taking great care of her. She always seemed so happy at Oakbrook!

I came to Oakbrook Health & Rehab-May 13, After breaking my ankle and leg. The care at Oakbrook has been amazing. Such kind and caring staff. l needed a lot of help and all staff never hesitated to help when I called for it. The therapy gals were amazing and super great and with their help I get to go home. The meals are fantastic so much like home. Keep up the good work. I would recommend Oakbrook Health & Rehab to any one who needs that extra help to get home. God Bless All!

"I’m pretty sure I thanked you last year after you delivered that beautiful “angel wings” (feathers!) ornament in memory of my parents, but I just want to tell you how much pleasure it gave me to place it on our Christmas tree again this year. That is such a wonderful memento. Thank you. My family and I still have positive memories about the great care Oakbrook’s staff gave our parents in 2016. Thank you again."

Thank you for the special care that was given to my mom. Your job is truly a work of love! To handle your work so gracefully during the difficult times is truly a blessing. Thank you for your gift of the wind chimes, but more than ever thank you for your gift of “caring”.

Oakbrook Staff and Residents: We wish to thank you for all your support in, thoughts, and prayers during our losses. The gifted wind chimes shall hang and continuously remind us of our loved ones that have passed. “Our Father who aren’t in heaven…” God Bless you all, thank you.

What a perfect gift! The sound of the wind chimes will remind me of Mom’s singing! I wanted to be sure you and your staff know how much we appreciate the kind and gentle care Mom received while she was an Oakbrook resident. She often told us how kind everyone there was to her. When she came to Oakbrook, she seemed to come back to life after the previous three months when she was in such deep mourning for Dad that we hardly knew her. However, she really perked up while in your care, and our family was able to truly enjoy her last two months. We all have such fond memories of our visits with her there. It was so nice to see how your activity employees got her involved in Bingo, singing, etc. Thanks to you and your staff for all you did to improve Mom’s quality of life those last two months.

Thank you, THANK YOU for all you did to help my mother. Your wonderful care enabled us to enjoy my mom during these last weeks and she improved so much at your facility. Thank you also for the beautiful wind chimes! I was lucky enough to get it and the music it provides at my woodland home reminds me of my mother daily.

I was very satisfied with Oakbrook while I was there. They had good food and the meals were served by caring people. The cleaning people were there every day and it doesn’t smell like what you think a nursing home would. The smiles from everyone really mean a lot when you’re sick and the staff never looked like they didn’t like their job. All in all, a top notch home! I’ve been spreading the work to others!
- David S., previous resident

“My stay at Oakbrook was satisfactory to the point that I would return. The physical therapy was extremely helpful to the point that I felt confident enough to return home after just one week.”

During the time our mother-in-law/mom was at Oakbrook, she made many friends with the residents as well as the staff. She commented often how she felt she was treated “special”. When I would visit, I could see what she meant. Everyone on staff who entered her room came with a smile and positive attitude – how could she not feel “special”. Seeing that gave me the comfort of knowing that our mom/mother-in-law was in good hands. Thank you for that.

This is just a short note to thank you all for your patient, excellent care and advice that you gave our mother. My brother and I interacted with several of you and had many friendly “hall chats”. We realize that our mother isn’t the easiest person to deal with, yet she received such kind care – as did we! Thank you for all that you do every day!
